Getting to La Thuile is quite simple, especially if you're travelling by car. The village is located just a few minutes off the Morgex motorway (less than 15 kilometres), in the north-west of the Aosta Valley, right on the border with France.

a 2-hour, 45-minute drive. From the A4 Milan-Turin motorway, take the Santhià exit toward Aosta, then the Morgex exit.

2-hour, 10-minute drive. From the A5 motorway, Turin Mont Blanc, take the Morgex exit.

3-hour 20-minute drive. From the A26 Genoa-Gravellona Toce motorway, take the Santhià exit in the direction of Aosta, then the Morgex exit, State Road 26 in the direction of Courmayeur.

via Mont Blanc Tunnel (less than 1 hour from Chamonix).

via Mont Blanc Tunnel (less than 2 hours from Geneva).

Bus

There are regular buses to and from Courmayeur and Aosta (42 kilometres); from Courmayeur, you can then reach:

The nearest train station is Aosta. The regional railway network is currently undergoing modernization works, so it is possible to get to Ivrea station and then use the replacement buses available.
