Rescue services on the slope
Funivie Piccolo San Bernardo ensures a rescue service on the La Thuile slopes open to the public. If there’s an accident, it’s important to quickly contact emergency services and give them specific details of where the accident occurred: mention the name of the slope and, if in France, the nearest signpost number to the injured person.
Regardless, before taking to the slopes, it is always wise to familiarise yourself with the signs used on the Aosta Valley slopes, especially helpful in case of poor visibility.
Funivie Piccolo San Bernardo charges a fee of €200.00 for its slope rescue service to help cover the rescue costs.
If third-party vehicles or personnel are involved in the rescue, additional charges will apply. To avoid these expenses, users can opt to purchase an insurance policy along with their ski pass.
Please note that Funivie Piccolo San Bernardo is not responsible for rescue services in French territory, as these are managed by the La Rosière resort.
Rescue services on French slopes also incur fees according to the French National Mountain Rescue Regulations.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Starting from 1 January 2022, all skiers are required to have insurance that covers liability for any third-party damage or injury.
