The ski area
Espace San Bernardo: the heart of skiing in La Thuile

152 kilometres of snow, 82 slopes, a single international ski pass for non-stop skiing between the Aosta Valley and Savoy, all day long, thanks to 38 lifts that defy the notion of waiting in queues: this is what Espace San Bernardo in La Thuile can offer you.
Thought that wasn't possible? Well it is, because our ski area is synonymous with luxury, nature, technology and high-level services. The luxury is in the large spaces, in the transformative and rejuvenating power of nature. Where technology simplifies and speeds up the means you need to enjoy your personal experience in one of Europe’s wildest ski areas, with ski slopes and packages that can be tailored to everyone’s needs. And we mean everyone. Espace San Bernardo offers easy runs, perfect for beginners and families, medium-difficulty runs, ideal for passionate skiers, and last but not least, highly challenging, technical runs for true skiing professionals.

If you're part of the latter, then you are likely familiar with our famous Slope no. 3 – known throughout the world as the most challenging – in the Espace San Bernardo ski area: the Franco Berthod. It follows that this slope has already hosted two Women’s Ski World Cup races and two Telemark World Cups. One of the most difficult slopes in Italy and undoubtedly the steepest with a maximum gradient of 76%.

But Espace San Bernardo is about more than just black runs and winding descents. A unique microclimate makes for an extended winter season, allowing you to ski all the way through to spring with exceptional snow quality.

What Espace San Bernardo offers

The 2,800 metres of Mont Valaisan are enough to offer a unique, thrilling and unparalleled experience.
