La Thuile village

In the heart of the Alps lies a small village unlike any other. Nestled in the far western reaches of the Aosta Valley, it stands as one of the few places where nature still reigns supreme, with humanity taking a back seat – this is its true charm. With just 793 inhabitants spread across more than 125 square kilometres, the scale of this place becomes apparent. The village's stone and wooden houses, with their “losa” (stone-tiled) roofs, and a forest at its centre, complete the picturesque setting. Surrounded by three of the Alps' giants – Mont Blanc, Grand Assaly and Rutor – La Thuile remains a testament to the primordial mountain landscape. It offers visitors a diverse array of natural wonders: peaks, glaciers, waterfalls and lakes. A mountain for those in search of tranquillity and an immersive, rejuvenating experience in nature.

Easily accessible, just a short drive from the motorway exit, La Thuile is less than ten hairpin bends away. A few more steps, and you'll find yourself face to face with Mont Blanc. This place tells the story of a landscape that has welcomed humanity for millennia without ever being tamed.

Today, La Thuile stands as an international destination, offering a wide range of activities from winter sports – such as downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, ski mountaineering, heli-skiing, snowshoeing, snowkiting and freeriding – to summer pursuits like trekking, metabolic walking, mountain biking, horseback riding and yoga. All complemented by a rich cultural and gastronomic experience deeply connected to nature, ensuring all-round well-being for visitors.

A comprehensive offering that caters to everyone's needs: from seasoned athletes seeking the thrill of the most challenging slopes, to families and beginners who want to enjoy nature and the services that facilitate exploring the mountains.

La Thuile is easily accessible from France year-round via the Mont Blanc Tunnel, and in summer via the Little St. Bernard Pass. It can also be reached from Switzerland through the Mont Blanc Tunnel or the Great St. Bernard Tunnel. La Thuile is also easily accessible from major Italian cities.
