Nature is bountiful, especially in La Thuile, where blackberries are ubiquitous in July and August, and mushrooms can be found beneath the trees from July to September. There are various types of mushrooms to be found, but connoisseurs will particularly love the abundant ceps and chanterelles. Before you tuck in, however, it is advisable to get your haul checked by the local health authority (ASL) to ensure that they are all safe to eat.
